How to get people to do what you want!

Let’s face it, we all want others to do what we want them to do, right? This is true for leaders, supervisors and in any kind of relationship.

Even if you want to really help the other person improve their situation you need to first of all convince them to buy your idea.

I know some really good techniques to use to get people to buy your ideas and do what you want. I learned them over the years from a variety of people, many who practice and teach NLP.

NLP was intended by it’s originators to help people lead richer and fuller lives by improving communication with themselves and others.

But like any good intention we tend to find ways to use these types of techniques to influence other people’s choices in our favor.

One could argue that this is natural especially in a highly competitive world. But if we want to think beyond a life of survival and consumption that never ends, our thinking must evolve to become more considerate of others.

To start we need to fully understand people and ourselves and become more aware of what makes us see things differently.

This is crucial because this leads to mutual understanding which enables greater acceptance, compassion and tolerance.

These three elements are the driving force of collaboration, which is what we truly need in the world now more than ever before.
